Top Gun Cary Game #2: RV Fishers 15, BIG Reds 7

During the break between games the BIG Reds were able to cheer on the Capital City Cardinals. The BIG Reds' second game started early on a hot humid mid day game vs. RV Fishers. The BIG Reds claimed the first loss of the season in 5 1/2 innings.
Offense: The BIG Reds had 7 hits which included a triple by Matt, 2 singles by Will and Christian, and 1 single each by Sam and Drew.
Defense: Matt, Sam and Christian all caught pop fly balls.  Drew, Jack, Christian and Will (three times!) had put-outs.
Offensive and Defensive players of the game were shared by Will and Christian for their 2 hits each, and for Will's three put-outs and Christian's 4th inning of fame. Christian was responsible in some way for all three outs. First was a hit to outfield, which he snagged and threw to second to put out the runner.  Second was a caught pop fly in the outfield.  He quickly threw the ball to second making the third out because the guy left too early and didn't tag up.
The Fishers had 12 hits using big barrel bats in the game. Donny, the umpire and umpire booking agent for Top Gun Baseball in NC (Greensboro and east), informed the Coaching staff that the Fishers have one of the highest ranked travel teams in NC.
